PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively removing acid such as HF coexistent in organic acid fluoride unstable for water, more concretely, the method which is useful for effectively removing acid content without decomposing COF2 , CF3 COF or the like. SOLUTION: Acid is separated from a system in which organic acid fluoride expressed by the formula of RCOF (wherein, R is a 1 to 20C linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group or alkyl halide group or a 6 to 20C aryl group or aryl halide group which can contain a fluorin atom or a hetero atom) and acid. In this method, as a deacidifier, aromatic heterocyclic compounds having the boiling point of >=50 deg.C, and containing a nitrogen atom as a hetero atom are used.
