PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for a polarizing plate protecting film made excellent in antistatic properties, chemical resistance, scratch resistance, handleability or the like to make it possible to facilitate inspection, having excellent characteristics for preventing the adhesion of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, waste refuse or the like to a liquid crystal display panel, capable of being easily peeled when peeled and removed as unnecessary matter after used in the protection of a polarizing plate, having effect for suppressing peeling charge, and capable of preventing the damage of the circuit connected to the liquid crystal display panel due to peeling charge. SOLUTION: The base material for the polarizing plate protecting film comprises a laminated film. A coating layer is provided on one surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film, the surface resistance of the coating layer is not more than 1×10<11> Ω, the tackiness (P2) due to the acrylic pressure- sensitive adhesive on the surface of the coating layer is not more than 3,000 mN/cm, and the difference (P1-P2) between the tackiness (P1) due to the rubbery pressure-sensitive adhesive on the surface of the coating layer and the tackiness (P2) due to the acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive is not less than 100 mN/cm. |
