<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid slippage between paper sheets when a folding plate pushes a few sheets into a nip between an upper roller and a lower roller so as to form a folding line, and reduce drive torque of a drive means for the folding plate. SOLUTION: The post-processing apparatus for folding the sheets S delivered from the image forming apparatus body by a folding means consisting of a pair of folding rollers and the folding plate, comprises a detection means for detecting the number of the sheets S, a first drive means 801 for rotating the pair of folding rollers, a second drive means 802 for moving the folding plate back and forth, and a main control means 100 for controlling drive of the first drive means 801 and the second drive means 802, and controls the rotation of the pair of the folding roller corresponding to the back and forth movement of the folding plate according to the number of the sheets S detected by the detection means.</p> |
