<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heat treatment method for a thin-walled hollow component by which the trouble by the heat treatment can be solved by using a hardening coolant and a tempering coolant to, obtain an excellent heat treatment quality. SOLUTION: The induction heat treatment method comprises a hardening step of hardening the surface of a thin-walled part 4a by cooling the thin-walled part 4a by spraying air or gas on the thin-walled part 4a after performing the induction heating of the thin-walled part 4a of the thin-walled hollow component 1 with an induction heating coil 21 at a predetermined hardening temperature, and a tempering step of tempering the thin-walled part 4a by performing the induction heating of the thin-walled part 4a at a predetermined tempering temperature with the induction heating coil 21 after the hardening step, and spraying air or gas on the thin-walled part 4a to cool the thin-walled part 4a.</p> |
