PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber cutting blade capable of withstanding long-term use because of its excellent wear resistance resulting from a blade part and a base part being firmly and integrally joined together, even though the blade part is made of cemented carbide with a Vickers hardness of Hv. 2000 or more and the base part is made of carbon tool steel. SOLUTION: The blade part 1a and the base part 1b are joined together via a nickel-alloy layer 1c, with the horizontal length t1 of the alloy layer being 1.0 mm and the cross-sectional length t2 of the alloy layer being 1.2 mm. A nickel thin-film layer 1a' is formed on the surface of the blade part 1a and a nickel diffusion layer 1a" is formed beneath the surface.
