摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the amount of combustion air for a pressurized fluidized bed boiler, which controls combustion air so as to optimize the combustion conditions in a furnace, while maintaining high efficiency operation. SOLUTION: A fuel supply air control valve 9 for introducing fuel supply air to a fuel nozzle is juxtaposed with a fuel dispersion air control valve 8 for introducing fuel dispersion air for dispersing fuel. In a normal operation, an inlet valve 5 of the furnace 2 is fully open, but when the amount of air is increased, such as when load is increased, the control valve 8 is open to temporarily increase the fuel dispersion air amount to be fed to the furnace 2. Contrarily, when the amount of air is reduced, such as when load is decreased, the inlet valve 5 is throttled to reduce the amount of combustion air. The optimum amount of air is supplied to the furnace 2 by such control. Specifically, air shortage or air excess that occurs in the furnace 2 due to the volume effect of a pressure vessel 1 at the time of increase and decrease of air amount, is compensated by controlling the control valve 8 and the inlet valve 5.
