PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent getting a curtain caught causing the lowering of appearance and a functional malfunction of a steering column cover device. SOLUTION: Steering column covers 5a and 5b are provided to cover an upper end of a steering column 2 for supporting a steering shaft 1 with interior parts fitted to the upper end of the steering column 2. An end of the curtain 7 extended from a car body side is inserted into a vacant place between the column cover 5 and the interior parts to cover a clearance formed between an instrument panel and the column cover 5b. A guide 9 for abutting on the inner surface of the curtain 7, which is inserted into the column cover 5b, freely to slide to avoid getting the end of the curtain caught by the interior parts is provided to avoid getting the end of the curtain 7 caught by the interior parts and to prevent the generation of wrinkle and deflection of the curtain 7 with tilting or the telescopic operation.
