PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side step structure capable of excellently protecting a harness without increasing the cost. SOLUTION: In the structure of a side step 1 comprising a side step reinforcement 3 supported from a vehicle body side via a stay 2 and a cover plate 4 mounted on the side step reinforcement 3, an upwardly-directed groove is formed on the vehicle body side of the side step reinforcement 3, a trough part 7 extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction is integrated therewith, a wire arrangement space 8 which are surrounded in a box by a rising part 6 erected on the vehicle body side of the cover plate 4 and the trough part 7 and extended in the vehicle longitudinal direction is formed, and the harness 9 is passed through the wire arrangement space 8.
