PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety seat adapted to be used by infants and children. SOLUTION: A reclining safety seat device for children for assembly of a seat member (3) and a base member (1). The seat member (3) is mounted to the base member (1) on a lateral shaft (5) in capable of turning, and a link (7) extends between the seat member and the base member and is arranged away from the lateral shaft (5). When an extendable arm (13) is used on a link arm or the base member, for example, to change an angle of the link arm against the base member, a reclining amount of the safety seat for children is changed. This seat is also useful as a convertible seat which can be used as a backward seat for infants in the more face down attitude and a forward safety seat for children on which a child is set in the more standing attitude. Angle variable constitution of the present invention can be used for reclining the seat by a selected amount when the seat is in the former attitude.
