PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor inexpensively manufacturable with a small number of components and assembling man-hours. SOLUTION: In this gas sensor, a filling space 17 of a sensor unit 9 having a sensor base 3 and a sensor element module 5 is formed, and a casing 19 having a gas introducing opening part 13 to allow the gas sensor 11 to make contact with a gas to be detected is provided. The casing 19 has a first casing part 21 and a second casing part 23 integrally engaged with each other at an engagement surface 18 to divide the filling space 17, and a sealing member 27 of a high polymer material to seal the first casing part 21 and the second sealing part 23 along the outer rim of the engagement surface 18 is provided.
