PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine for manufacturing a spherical and transparent ice. SOLUTION: The ice making machine is provided with a main vessel 2 defining a spherical main chamber C1 and having a lower vessel 20 as well as an upper vessel 30 mounted detachably on the lower vessel, an auxiliary vessel 4 to which the lower vessel 20 is attached detachably and which is defining the lower vessel as well as an auxiliary chamber C2 having a required volume, and a heat insulating unit 6 for receiving the auxiliary vessel. The lower vessel is provided on the bottom thereof with a through hole 26 for communicating the main chamber with the auxiliary chamber, and the upper vessel is provided with a small hole 35 formed on the top of the same while the lower vessel unit is provided with a wall 22 formed on the outer periphery of the upper vessel and extending to a top.
