PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a step of covering an insert pat and filling a core with a layer of fiber reinforcing plastic material in a process for producing a crank lever of a bicycle. SOLUTION: The process for producing the crank lever of the bicycle includes a step of supplying a molding apparatus that includes two half molds moving between an open position and a closed position and defines, in the closed position, a mold cavity having a shape corresponding to the shape of the crank lever, a step of injecting at least one insert part and a given amount of plastic fiber reinforcing thermosetting material into the molding apparatus in the open position, a step of closing the molding apparatus and pressurizing the thermosetting material from the surface of the mold cavity so that the plastic material flows into the mold cavity to fill the mold cavity and cover at least a part of the insert part, and a step of heating the thermosetting material to a thermosetting temperature. |
