PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for handrails capable of easily connecting between end parts of the handrails. SOLUTION: The end part of the first handrail is fixed to a fixing surface 19, provided outside the bottom part 12 of an inner cap 11. The end of the second handrail is fitted to a handrail receiver part 25, provided inside the bottom part 12 of the inner cap 11. A lock case 31 is fitted around the inner cap 11 and turned. The end of the second handrail fitted to the handrail receiver part 25 is fastened and fixed by the pushing pressure of a pressure-contact piece 24 of the inner cap 11. The end part of the first handrail and the end of the second handrail can be thus connected to each other. If the end part of the second handrail has a shape, capable of being fitted into the handrail receiver 25 of the inner cap 11, there is no need for a highly precise machining of the end part of the second handrail. The interval between the end part of the first handrail and the end part of the second handrail can thus be connected easily to each other.
