PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively determining hexavalent chromium that can determining the hexavalent chromium easily and accurately. SOLUTION: The method for quantitatively determining the hexavalent chromium is characterized in that it has an eluate process for allowing the hexavalent chromium to elute into NaCl solution from a compound containing chromium by retaining the compound containing chromium in the NaCl solution, and a process for quantitatively determining the Cr elements in the NaCl solution where the hexavalent chromium has eluted, by an emission spectrochemical analysis. The method for quantitatively determining of the hexavalent chromium has effect capable of performing accurate quantitative determination.
