PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of slowing down heat conduction at a joint part between a housing and a compression mechanism. SOLUTION: The scroll type compression mechanism 14 is accommodated in the housing 11. A part of a joint part between the housing 11 and a fixed scroll member 41 constituting the compression mechanism 14 is provided with a heat insulating space 42 for slowing down heat conduction between both the housing 11 and member 41, so as to be isolated from a refrigerant gas atmosphere.
