PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder storing hopper in which a lifetime of a flexible material layered at an inner side of a side wall can be kept long, a bridge or the like can be effectively broken even if powder shows ether an adhering characteristic or solidifiable characteristic and the powder can be stored while preventing the hopper from being clogged. SOLUTION: A part of flexible liners 2b to 2c layered at inner surfaces of side walls 1b to 1c can be moved periodically in an inward direction of a hopper 1. A lower part of the side walls 1b to 1c having the flexible liners 2b to 2c layered at inner sides can be moved periodically in an inward direction of the hopper 1. A part of the flexible liners 2b to 2c can be moved periodically in an inward direction through the lower portion of the side walls. A flow sensor for use in detecting a flow of the powder particle is arranged at the downstream side of the hopper 1. When the flow sensor detects that a flow of powder stays, it is preferable that a part of the flexible liners 2b to 2c can be displaced continuously.
