PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure of planar members, a structure improved by galvamic corrosion resistance in the joined part as the joining structure of planar members composed of different kinds of materials. SOLUTION: A stainless steel(SUS) pipe 11 and an aluminum(Al) pipe 12 are joined by caulking as exhaust pipe members for an internal combustion engine. In the joined part 13, the cutting plane end face 14a of the SUS pipe 11 and that 14b of the Al pipe 12 are close contact with each other, showing a cross section in which both end faces are covered with the Al pipe 12 in a wrapped-around fashion, with the end faces formed in a manner hermetically sealed from the ambience 15 of the pipes. In this case, when an electrolytic solution is present in a part 17 exposed to the ambience 15 in the area in contact with both pipes 11, 12, corrosion of the Al pipe 12 is accelerated in that part 17 through electrochemical corrosion, while corrosion of the SUS pipe 11 is suppressed.
