PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing sheet metal components, a method enabling sheet metal components to be smoothly collected without causing deflection in the base thin metallic sheet. SOLUTION: In the blanking method in which a plurality of sheet metal components are successively blanked in the longitudinal direction from the base sheet 1 composed of a long thin metallic sheet, there is formed by press forming a reinforcing part 2 for increasing rigidity of a scrap part 15 which remains in the base sheet when the sheet metal components are blanked, in the process concurrent with or prior to the blanking process.
