AROMATIC POLYAMIDE FILM, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polyamide film having uniform fine projections on its surface and improved in adhesion, and a magnetic recording medium having good output and output fluctuations and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide film has a resin thin film and fine projections composed of core-shell particles, of which the interiors are softer than the exteriors having a mean particle size of 10-100 nm and provided in the number of 1×10<6> -1×10<8> /mm<2> on its projection forming surface. The center surface average roughness RaA (nm) of the projection forming surface measured by an interatomic force microscope (AFM), the ten score average roughness RzA (nm) thereof satisfy the formula (1): 0.8<=RaA<=5.0 and the formula (2): 10<=RzA<=100, and the number irregularity of fine projections is not more than 20%.
