PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a whole camera more compact by reducing the number of parts and miniaturizing a lens barrel. SOLUTION: A guide shaft 36 to guide a movable lens barrel 7 and a guide shaft 36 to guide a second group lens 3 (a movable lens group) are used in common, so that a linear motor 11 for the movable lens barrel incorporating a driving source provided in the vicinity of the guide shaft 36 and independently driven is disposed at the inside of the lens barrel 1.
