PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively brake an electric motor used as a driving source without particularly providing a brake for braking. SOLUTION: In the vehicle for high lift work, a work bench is attached to a self-propelled vehicle body so as to vertically move via a boom, the direct- current system electric motor for turning used as the driving source is provided on the vehicle body, and two electric wires connected to the electric motor for turning can be connected so as to short-circuit. In the vehicle body, an upper part body is turnably mounted on a lower part body having a traveling function, the direct-current system electric motor for driving turning is provided on the upper part body, the upper part body can be turned by the electric motor for turning, and an electromagnetic brake is provided on an output shaft of the electric motor for turning.
