PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive sorting device facilitating cleaning and capable of sorting in multi directions. SOLUTION: This sorting device 1 comprises a belt-type carrying device 35 carrying articles M, and an arm member 30 disposed in a carrying direction X of the carrying device 35. The articles M are sorted by the arm member 39 during carrying the articles M by the carrying device 35. Arm driving devices 10, 20 are provided, which supports both of an upstream end portion 31 and a downstream end portion 32 of the arm member 30 so as to move in the width direction Y generally orthogonal to the carrying direction X, and individually moves the upstream end portion 31 and the downstream end portion 32 in the width direction Y.
