PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional radial type vertical axis high-temperature superconducting magnetic bearing device with the size of the cryostat in height has affecting on the bearing characteristics of the reaction of diamagnetic flux on a rotor-side permanent magnet circuit, generated in a stator-side high-temperature superconducting bulk, because no consideration for the liquid temperature characteristics of cooling medium pressure and the temperature characteristics of critical current density being taken. SOLUTION: A limited value for the size of a cryostat in height is designed and unitized. Because a high-temperature superconducting bulk as a type-II superconductor provided in the stator-side cryostat magnetically shields the reaction of a diamagnetic flux generated in a mixed condition on a permanent magnet circuit 1 inscribed on the innermost periphery of a rotor which externally rotates in non-contact manner inside vacuum and is arranged facing the cryostat, the rotor is formed by covering the surface facing the cryostat of the permanent magnet circuit with a cylindrical meshed cage 5 of a nonmagnetic conductive material. |
