PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove only a film without machining a forming surface in a grinding process carried out when the film-formed on the forming surface of a forming die is degraded with time. SOLUTION: The film 2 formed on the forming surface 1a of the forming die 10 is removed by grinding. The film 2 is removed by grinding using abrasive grain having a medium hardness between the hardness of a base material 1 of the forming die and the hardness of the film 2.
