<p>The support ring or spur gear mounted on the circumference of rotary cylinder type plant such as rotary shaft kilns, ball mills, mixers, is of a laminated construction consisting of packs of rings welded together from segments and bolted or fastened to each other to form one massive ring. The advantage of this construction is that it facilitates transport and assembly and also permit the easy construction of very large units which would otherwise be awkward to assemble.</p> |
