PURPOSE: A seat-automatic control device using PSD(Position Sensing Device) is provided to detect and automatically control a distance from a front seat to a rear seat by making the space between the front seat and the rear seat automatically controlled with an optical sensor. CONSTITUTION: A seat-automatic control device, using a PSD comprises a front PSD module(10), installed in front of a front seat(100a); a rear PSD module(20) mounted on the back(110) of the front seat; angle sensors(11,21) of detecting the rotation angle of each seat; a pair of drive motors(40), installed to the lower parts of the front and rear seat cushions; and a controller(50) of receiving a distance-signal input from the module and the angle sensor and operating drive motor. The front and rear PSD modules receive and transmit distance-signals through different codes each other. The PSD modules comprises a light-emitting unit, to emit light and measure the distance and a light-receiving unit, to receive light emitted from the light-emitting unit. Therefore, the space between the front seat and rear seat is automatically controlled in the length.
