PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently compress at a relatively low load and to provide sufficient sealing performance. SOLUTION: A yarn including a porous hollow fiber 50 is used for V packings 1, 2, and 3 for sealing an interval between a cylinder 30 and a ram 40. The use of the hollow fiber reduces the repulsive elasticity in the compression, enhances the airtightness between the yarns at such a relatively low load as causing no deformation in a pushing member 10 and a support member 20, and retains the sealing performance. This sealing material is freely deformed so as to effectively seal a part having a step difference. If it is mixedly woven with a non-hollow fiber, it exhibits partial elasticity. If mixedly woven with a conductive fiber, it can be used for a part requiring an antistatic property.
