PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a specified check function. SOLUTION: An annular lip 4d having a tip end closely fitted to the upper end surface 3b of a rod guide 3 is formed on the outer peripheral side lower end part of the lower end base part 4a of a check seal 4 allowing an annularly formed upper end seal part 4b to develop the specified check function while pressing, by a proper pressing means 7, the lower end base part 4a formed in flanged shape at the top end of the rod guide 3 allowing a piston rod 2 to pass through a shaft core part while sealing the opening end 1a of a cylinder 1.
