PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a vapor of a concentrated solvent, a vapor of the like of an oil arriving at a moistening water thin film to be remoistened from a moistening water by the vapor. SOLUTION: An apparatus 16 for remoistening a web material 1 comprises a form dampening roller 18, a tub container 20 and a heating member 22 before a first cooling roller 6 of a cooling roller station 4. The container 20 houses a predetermined amount of the moistening water 24 to be remoistened, to be received by and delivered to a surface of the web material 1 received from the surface of the roller 18 and stopped. For example, the member 22 capable of being electrically operated is operated to heat the water 14 in the container 20 so as to remove a residue of the vapor of the concentrated solvent, the vapor or the like of the oil arriving at the moistening water via the roller 18 by raising a temperature of the water 24 and evaporating the water 24.
