PURPOSE: A method for testing a hall sensor of a washing machine is provided to precisely determine the cause of motor noise and mis-operation of the motor by sensing output signals from the hall sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for testing a hall sensor of a washing machine includes the steps of sensing output signals from a hall sensor when a motor rotates normally after driven by a uniform rpm(S1), comparing a duty cycle for the output signals from the hall sensor which senses the rotation of the motor and a duty cycle of the sensed output signals(S5), determining the reject of the hall sensor according to a difference or rate between a high level signal period and a low level signal period for one cycle of the output signals(S6,S7). |
