<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain driving operation force by a magnet coil regardless of axial movement of a driving rotator or a driven rotator. SOLUTION: A driving plate 3 rotatingly driven by a crankshaft and a lever 10 connected to a camshaft 1 are coupled by an assembly angle operation mechanism 5, which is driven and operated by operation force applying means 4. The operation force applying means 4 has magnet coils 33A and 33B and generates the driving operation force by exciting the magnet coils 33A and 33B. In this valve timing control device, the rotation of the magnet coils 33A, 33B is controlled in relation to a VTC housing 12 through a lock pin 46 and placed in the condition of allowing axial displacement. Also the magnet coils 33A and 33B rotates freely in relation to the lever shaft 10 through a ball bearing 50 and engaged integrally displaceable in the axial direction. The air gap at the magnetic action portion of the magnet coils 33A and 33B becomes fixed.</p> |
