PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airway forming spacer which copes with a heat insulating material different in width by a single type thereof, and to provide a method for forming an airway in a wall body, by using the spacer. SOLUTION: The airway forming spacer 10 is formed of a synthetic resin sheet, and inserted into a gap between the heat insulating material arranged in an inner space of the wall body and a wall surface of an outer wall material. The spacer is integrally formed of a plurality of hollow projections 12 which each are formed by inflating a plurality of portions of a sheet surface 11 in one direction, and a leg portion 13 on the periphery thereof, which is compressively deformable in a direction opposite to the direction of inflation of the hollow projections 12.
