PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-maintain vacuum dryer in which residual matters are extremely difficult to adhere to the inner wall of a drying drum even after continuous vacuum drying operation and the number of cleaning times of the drying drum can be decreased significantly. SOLUTION: A drying drum 1 equipped with a heater 2 comprises an upper tube 5 having a first opening 6 in the longitudinal direction of the lower curved surface, and a lower tube 13 having a second opening 7 in the longitudinal direction of the upper curved surface and an opening 14 for discharging residual matters after vacuum drying operation made in any one side face. The first opening 6 and the second opening 7 are coupled to match with each other wherein the upper tube 5 is internally provided with scraping blades 8 and the lower tube 13 is internally provided with a carrying screw 16.
