PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house which is very strong in entire strength not only by improving the connecting strength between skeletal members but also dispersing stress that is likely to concentrate at a joint portion of the skeletal members. SOLUTION: The house 3 includes a skeleton which is formed by linking horizontal members 1 and column members 2 perpendicular to the horizontal members 1 to each other. In the house 3, a first recess 4 is formed at a corner edge of the horizontal member 1 on the side closer to the column member 2 in a manner extending in a longitudinal direction of the horizontal member 1, and a second recess 5 is formed at a corner edge of the column member 2 on the side closer to the horizontal member 1 in a manner being opposed to the first recess 4. Then, a horizontal member 7 is fitted into the first and second recesses 4, 5 in a manner extending along the first recess 4, and the horizontal member 7 is fixed to the horizontal member 1 and the column member 2 by fixing means.
