摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping structure for controlling the vibration of a bridge caused by winds and capable of exhibiting stable damping effects using a simple structure without requiring a source of power, and a flow-straightening device for controlling the separation of air streams caused by members. SOLUTION: The damping structure 100 is for controlling the vibration of a bridge caused by winds, in which rotors 102 each having a radially protruding vane 20 are rotatably provided to extend from the edges 101a of a bridge girder 101. Winds coming from the sides of the bridge, when passing the edges 101a of the bridge girder 101, strike the vanes 20 of the rotors 102 provided at the edges 101a, rotating the rotors 102 in the forward direction of the winds. Thus, the separation of air streams by the edges 101a is controlled and the winds are guided below the bridge girder 101 to control the generation of varying air forces below the bridge girder 101 and thereby control the vibration of the bridge caused by the winds.
