PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter of high quality with a printing method using a deep-etch plate without generating color irregularity in forming a black matrix or in forming a pattern of transparent coloring pixels. SOLUTION: A series of steps, consisting of forming the deep-etch plate 7 with recessed parts corresponding to the black matrix or the pattern of the transparent coloring pixels of the color filter, filling the recessed parts of the deep-etch plate 7 with photo-setting ink by means of a doctor blade 10, subsequently sticking a transparent substrate 11 fast thereto, subsequently hardening the ink with exposure from the transparent substrate 11 side so as to firmly fix the ink to the transparent substrate 11, subsequently releasing the transparent substrate 11 from the depressed surface and subsequently subjecting the ink firmly fixed to the transparent substrate 11 to reexposure from the front side, is applied to the formation of the black matrix or the formation of the pattern of the transparent coloring pixels of the color filter. |
