PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnosing method and a failure diagnosing apparatus that reflect signal amplitude information even on a high-order linear prediction coefficient, analyze features by a larger number of linear prediction coefficients, and can quickly identify a shock sound that is generated. SOLUTION: The failure diagnosing apparatus diagnoses failure by analyzing measured sounds or vibration waveform. The failure diagnosing apparatus measures sounds or vibration by a measuring means, sends them to a frequency analysis means, and obtains a linear prediction coefficient at 0 order or first order or thereafter is sounds or vibration. The linear prediction coefficient is sent to a multiplication means, thus multiplying a 0-th order linear prediction coefficient by a first-order or thereafter linear prediction coefficient. The multiplication value and the time change are transmitted to a display means, and the multiplied value is displayed diagonally along measurement time for failure diagnosing. |
