<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification method for a hydrocarbon feedstock whereby various hydrocarbon feedstocks can be efficiently gasified at low temperatures, enabling useful substances to be recovered. SOLUTION: A feedstock and an oxidizing agent in an amount more than necessary for completely oxidizing the feedstock are fed from the under part of a gasification reactor 2 filled with high-temperature high pressure water of 22 MPa or higher. Simultaneously, the feedstock is also fed from the upper part. The feedstock fed from the under part is oxidized in an oxidation section 10 to produce a gas mixture containing CO2 and excess O2 . In a thermal decomposition section 12, the feedstock fed from the upper part is thermally decomposed by heat generated in the under part, thus forming a decomposition gas mainly comprising H2 and a residue mainly comprising C. In a gasification section 11, the residue flowing down from the thermal decomposition section is reacted with the high-temperature high-pressure water containing CO2 and excess O2 in an atmosphere with a temperature raised by the reaction heat, thus forming a gas mixture containing CO and H2 . In a shift reaction acceleration section 13, CO is subjected to a water gas formation reaction with high-temperature high- pressure water, converted into H2 and CO2 , and taken out of the gasification reactor.</p> |
