PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically handle an article which fails to ride on an outbound line. SOLUTION: A plurality of article storage devices for transshipping articles between a conveyor in a shelf and a shelf are provided in parallel to retrieve articles onto the outbound line from the conveyor in the shelf through an outbound subconveyor. A space on the outbound line is specified for the article which cannot be retrieved to a predetermined position on the outbound line to retrieve it again automatically. |
