CONTROL SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system and its method for an internal combustion engine (engine) having an electronic control throttle smoothly complying with increase in a throttle demand after an instantaneous occurrence of an opened circuit condition. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 is provided with the electronic control throttle including a throttle control motor 36 driven by an engine controller 12 and a throttle control circuit. In this controlling method, an opened circuit condition in the throttle control circuit is detected, and then, a closed circuit condition is detected. After the closed circuit condition is detected, a throttle position command is clipped, and the clipped throttle position is applied to the throttle control motor.
