PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that lens driving speed is made different for every kind of a lens device even though manipulated variables of a zoom demand are equal to each other in the case of using one zoom demand to be connected to a plurality of kinds of the lens devices. SOLUTION: In the lens system having a plurality of lens devices 1A and 1B respectively provided with an operating device 2 to output the lens driving command of a value corresponding to the manipulated variable and a controlling means to which the operating device is selectively connected and which drives a lens based on the lens driving command from the operating device, the driving of the lens is controlled by the controlling means of the lens device so that the lens driving speed obtained by the lens driving command inputted by the operating device is made nearly equal at several lens devices based on information with respect to the lens driving characteristic of the lens device.
