PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground box for waterworks equipment having a high work efficiency which is very convenient because the underground box for storing valves, flow meter or the like installed after the existing pipes are embedded can be formed easily and quickly and also the whole can be disassembled at the time of replacing the valves or flow meter. SOLUTION: An underground box A made of concrete for housing waterworks equipment is divided to up and down directions at the center of an insertion hole 3 for pipe thereby forming an upper box 1 and a lower box 2, and further the lower box 2 is divided into right and left portions at the center of the insertion hole 3. Also, the lower box 2 is formed with concrete reinforced with steel bars, fixing members are placed at adequate spacings along the inner side of the dividing surface, and the fixing member can be formed with reinforcing bars, a channel-shaped metal fixing plate for fixation, bolts and nuts.
