PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vacuum cap 8 for adsorbably, holding a cap 18 and striking it into a container 6 to be used also for caps 18 of various sizes. SOLUTION: There are provided a holding rod 14 having a vacuum passage 12 formed at a central part of it and a centering guide 16 threadably engaged with a lower end of the holding rod 14. A tapered surface 22 gradually expanding in a downward direction is formed at a lower surface of the centering guide 16. A top surface 18a of a cap 18 guided by this tapered surface 22 is adsorbed by an adsorbing surface 14a at a lower end of the holding rod 14. The centering guide 16 is rotated in response to a size of the cap 18 to change a height of the tapered surface 22 and it can adapt for caps 18 of various sizes. The moved centering guide 16 can be fixed to the holding rod 14 by a position setting means 20 with a thread.
