PURPOSE: An electric pressure rice cooker having a high frequency generator is provided to reduce heat loss and energy consumption by heating food directly with using the high frequency generator, to improve thermal efficiency by restricting leak of steam, and to cook well by measuring internal temperature of the cooker accurately. CONSTITUTION: An electric pressure rice cooker comprises a housing(10) having a control box(40) including a control unit(41) controlling operation and setting heating time and condition; an outer conductive pressure cover(51) penetrating the bottom; a nonconductive cooker(50) inserted to the inner wall of the outer cover; an antenna cap(70) placed in the penetrating part of the outer skin and contacted to the bottom of the cooker with a semicircular part(71); a high frequency generator(30) projecting high frequency to the cooker; a lid(20) having a conductive heat resisting plate(21), inner and outer pressure lid plates(23,22) and a pressure packing(24) restricting leak of pressure between the lid and the cooker; a pressure adjusting weight(60) increasing internal temperature to 116 deg.C by keeping maximum pressure of 0.8kgf/cm2 between outer and inner plates; and a temperature detecting sensor(80) measuring temperature of the cooker accurately. Thermal efficiency is improved with directly heating food in the cooker by the high frequency generator.
