PURPOSE: A safety travel control apparatus is provided to prevent accidents by warning travel to a driver and restricting acceleration of a vehicle in closing the door incompletely and in case of vehicle speed to be over zero. CONSTITUTION: A safe travel control device is composed of a door position detecting sensor(10) detecting normal/abnormal position state of a door; a speed limit unit(30) restricting vehicle speed by opening and closing the section of a throttle valve; and a control unit(40) controlling the speed of the vehicle by applying the signal to the speed limit unit at the abnormal position of the door from the door position detecting sensor and in case of vehicle speed to be over zero. Accidents are prevented with restricting acceleration in incompletely closing the door.
