METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING WIRE GLASS

PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing wire glass is provided, which is characterized in that wire inserted between glasses is supplied to the outside of pouring gate of molten glass to prevent wire from touching with heat and gas. Therefore, the apparatus manufactures high quality wire glass without transformation and oxidation. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of wire glass is as follows: discharging molten glass through a pouring gate(1) comprising horizontal(11) and vertical(12) bases; supplying a wire(3) between molten glass layers according to a guide roller(6), which is processed under the horizontal base of pouring gate to prevent wire from transforming by heat; forming wire-inserted glasses with upper(5) and lower(5') rollers. The insertion position of wire is controlled by guide roller regulated within the angle range of 75-92degree, based on the axial line of upper and lower rollers.
