METHOD FOR PREVENTING SCALE BUILD-UP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably show the effect of a scale inhibitor and to prevent calcium scale build-up in a water system containing inorganic suspended solids such as calcium carbonate. SOLUTION: A phosphonic acid and/or a phosphonate and a low molecular water-soluble polymer are incorporated into a water system in which suspended solids are present to suppress generation of calcium scale in the water system.
