PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and accurate method for detecting SNP(single nucleotide polymorphism) performable without using specific equipment or technology, and a kit being used for the method. SOLUTION: Disclosed are the method for detecting the SNP and the SNP detecting kit being used for the method containing the following process: (a) a process preparing two kinds of specific primers for a normal sequence containing a SNP site of a target gene and for a mutant sequence, and a universal primer capable of amplifying a target sequence part in coupling to the specific primers; (b) a process for amplifying the target sequence part by performing PCR for the normal sequence and the mutant sequence using each primer pair of process (a) and a DNA sample derived from a biological specimen as a template; (c) a process for judging presence or absence of the SNP in the DNA sample by detecting the target sequence part amplified in process (b) through migration. |
