PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine for setting or changing about whether a loop is accompanied or not concerning the sewing machine for sewing by permitting a thread to penetrate an object to be worked. SOLUTION: In the sewing machine, an embroidery frame is vertically inversely attached to the machine at each cloth when the kind of stitches is changed from the stitches along a face into the stitches with a loop projecting from the face. Then the two kinds of stitches are obtained through the use of a single hollow needle. The kinds of stitches for patterns are set by a user as necessary at each pattern or partial pattern through the use of an LCD 31a and an operation member.
