PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for drawing up magnetic resonance images without limiting repeating time. SOLUTION: The method for executing magnetic resonance imaging includes a step of adding N sets (1<N<6) of steady-state free precession(SSFP) sequences respectively containing starting radio frequency(RF) exciting pulses each of which has a prescribed phase shift to the other RF exciting pulses than a starting RF exciting pulse for a subject to be photographed. In addition, the method also includes the setting of the phase shifts of the RF pulses in the sequences so that the phase shift of the RF pulse of the M-th sequence may substantially become equal to 2π(M-1)/N radian (0<M<=N), the reception of the image signal of each set from the subject in response to the N sets of SSFT sequences, and the processing of the received image signal sets for drawing up the image of the subject.
